Here is a sneak peek at something for 2010. I won’t share anything else about it except it is something that we have never made before.

hmm… hole in the guard… never before… busse collaboration? :):):)

  2. António Silva Says:

The hole in the guard reminds me those knifes you can turn to a spear using a pole and some paracord…

  3. Chris Shoemaker Says:

Diving knife?? (Name idea: SOG Fathom)

  4. António Silva Says:

If it is a diving knife it would be great, I love those!

  5. António Silva Says:

Humm… the grip is very similar to the Fusion Jungle Primitive.

  6. Aaron Khain Says:

    *drool…
Can’t wait to see what it is!

  7. Chris Shoemaker Says:

Now that I really think about it, diving knives generally don’t have indented ricassos. Prying strength is important to divers, so the blade goes all the way to the guard. Could this be one half of a double-edged “Arkansas toothpick” style knife?

  8. Chris Shoemaker Says:

    Ohhhh . . . full-size machete??? I think Antonio is on to something . . .

  9. António Silva Says:

And in my opinion a dive knife should always have a partial serrated blade as well…

  10. António Silva Says:

I think the blade geometry on this picture is not good for a machete. If it’s not a dive knife i just can tell this to SOG: please start thinking on a good dive knife to add to your list!

  11. Dwight Cox Says:

It’s a fiberglass plastic compound.Another company makes it.

  12. James Kearns Says:

its a kukri knife that’s my guess only knife style i can think of that SOG hasn’t made yet!

  13. Gordon Miller Says:

A Bowie type with a bone beaker spine? Could be anything, within certain boundries.

  14. mike rogan Says:

same handle as the jungle primitive. hopefully its a shorter version of it. it would be far more useful as a survival knive if it was shorter. also would be great if it has a molle sheath. would send one to my brother in iraq if that was the case.

  15. Gordon Miller Says:

Spec-Elite fixed blade would be lovely, just like folder.

  16. David Says:

Looks like another Fusion product. Too bad. I wish it were something exciting for the regular line up!

  17. Gordon Miller.Paisley,Scotland. Says:

Had sleepless night, trying to thnk what it could be.Please show the tip SOG.

  18. steven swanberg Says:

fixed blade loosely based on the trident? could also be a boot knife, or “neck knife” but i don’t think that would bee something SOG would make

  19. António Silva Says:

Still have no idea what it is but i love the coating!

  20. Jake Hinkle Says:

Man, Can’t wait to see this

  21. Jake Hinkle Says:

I am curious to see what it is because now i am going to wait to choose between the Seal Pup Elite Or this!!!

  22. António Silva Says:

Man, I don’t own a Seal Pup Elite, just the non-elite version, but I’m very happy with it. Very handy knife, good for many things. So why don’t you get the Seal Pup Elite now and save some on the Christmas for 2010? eheh

  23. Jake Hinkle Says:

Yeah Thats A Good idea. I might get the new knife for Christmas next year.

  24. Jake Hinkle Says:

I am going to use the Seal Pup Elite for surival !

  25. Ty Says:

    (Raises hand)

    Oh! I know!

It’s a knife for the blind. I recognize braille when I sees it.

  26. gibbyx Says:

    SMATCHET!

  27. Bill Says:

Hmm…..looks like the guard from the Jungle Primative……other than that….i have no idea what it could be.

  28. Jake Hinkle Says:

Well better wait to see what it is I hope it is out on 1 – 1- 2010!!

  29. Jake Hinkle Says:

Anybody, What knife do you have and what do you use it for?

  30. Knives and Tools Says:

Possibly a survival specific knife ?

The void between the blade and the guard reminds me of the Team Leader Survivor and the hole in the guard reminds me of the Gerber LMF II which allowed attachment to a pole for use as a spear.

  31. Jake Hinkle Says:

Yeah, That’s a good guess , I think it is a survival, work, everything knife.

  32. Jake Hinkle Says:

I just got my Seal Pup Elite in!!! love it

  33. neophytos Says:

hey i was debating on whether i should get a SOG Daggert 2 or a SEAL team elite. any suggestions? im gonna use it for diving/hunting/messing around.

  34. SOG Administrator Says:

I suggest the SEAL Team as a better knife for outdoor uses.

  35. Chris Shoemaker Says:

Holy cow . . . did I guess this right? (10/03/09) This is the full-size machete?

  36. SOG Administrator Says:

Yes, you did. I couldn’t say anything at the time though. Good job

  37. Chris Shoemaker Says:

    Thanks!
